Abstract.
The solid template assisted synthesis strategy in zeolitic nanoreactors has been studied as a convenient method for inorganic nanoparticles obtaining. We have examined the possibility to use the natural heulandite, as a nanoreactor for in situ preparation of palladium nanoparticles by the controlled confinement of zeolite void structure, using the self-reduction procedure, and the natural laumontite as host matrix into which the MnS clusters may be created in situ. Our results have confirmed that the studied zeolites have acted as “nanometer-size-reactor” to synthesize stabilized nanoparticles.
