Modeling of Interface Fracture in High-Performance Materials
F. STAN
Abstract. In this paper, as an alternative to cohesive interface
elements approach, a class of non-symmetric/symmetric discontinuous
Galerkin methods with interior penalties for interfacial fracture problems
is presented. A numerical example is presented that illustrate the
performance of the discontinuous Galerkin method to predict the softening
response of a structure given its fracture prooperties. |
