Abstract. The cadmium and zinc sulphide is a compound with many applications such as pigment, phosphorus and semiconductor. In this work an experimental study regarding the obtaining of nanocrystalline
ZnxCd1-xS compound is presented. Depending of chosen composition, the pH and concentration synthesis solution ZnxCd1-xS colloidal particles with different particle size distribution can be synthesized. The method is based on co precipitation of CdSO4 and ZnSO4 with Na2S in excess (pH = 10) in the presence of a disperser.
