Construction RTD Brokerage event, 2 & 3 February 2004
Dear Colleagues,
At the end of 2003, a number of new calls with interest for the construction sector have been published on CORDIS (http://fp6.cordis.lu/fp6/calls.cfm), such as the NMP call published on 13 December and the SME call from 17 December.
Some of these calls make explicit reference to construction and in order to ensure that proposals take full advantage of this opportunity, E-CORE will run a brokerage event on 2 & 3 February 2004 in Brussels.
The workshop, which is meant for project co-ordinators who are already involved in setting up consortia, seeks to concentrate specifically on the following dedicated and thematic calls:
FP6-2003-NMP-NI-3 Thematic call in the area of "Nanotechnologies and nanosciences, knowledge-based multifunctional materials and new production processes and devices" - addressing New Instruments. DEADLINE 2nd March 2004.
If you have the intention to submit a proposal in the above-mentioned areas and would like to attend the brokerage event, we kindly ask you to register by returning the enclosed registration form to Mrs. Martine Merckx ([email protected]) before 23rd January 2004. The information assembled through these forms will be taken up in a dedicated E-CORE database at http://www.e-core.org/2004calls. This will allow interested parties to make contacts upfront the event in February.
Please be advised that a separate meeting may be organised for STREPS (depending on the interest shown) which are called for the deadline of 12th May 2004.
We take this opportunity to inform you that our Scientific Officer, Mr. Georges Katalagarianakis, with whom we enjoyed working for many years will move to another unit and will be replaced by Mr. Christophe Lesniak who has already kindly agreed to join us for this brokerage event.

Practical Information:
Date & Venue: 2 & 3 February 2003, Lozenberg 7 Sint-Stevens-Woluwe
Start time & End time: Meeting starting at 10:00 on Monday 2nd and scheduled to end not later than 16:00 on Tuesday 3rd February 2004.
Programme: Final program to be announced soon. For the morning of the Monday 2nd essentially presentation of EC Officers are foreseen. In the afternoon a free forum would be provided to potential co-ordinators to present their project. On Tuesday the 3rd separate meeting rooms will be made available for dedicated project discussion for those who would so require.
