Researches Regarding the Elaboration of Some WC+12%Co Composite Nanopowders

Abstract.
The research results regarding the elaboration possibilities of some WC+12%Co composites nanopowders by mechanical alloying (MA) process are presented in the paper. Studies by thermo gravimetric analyze regarding the influence of the particle size of these composites nanopowders to the sintering heat treatment thermodynamic parameters were made. The researches emphasize that the particle size decreasing to submicron level leads to the decreasing of the sintering temperature. In the analyzed case in this paper, a particle size between (252,2–342,3) nm of WC+12%Co composite nanopowders determines a reduction of sintering temperature from 1400°C to 1080°C.
