ON-WAFER LOOP AND PATCH-ANTENNAS FOR A WAFER LEVEL INTEGRATION TECHNOLOGY

Abstract. This paper describes the integration of on-wafer antennas with SiGe-HBT oscillators operating at 24 GHz and 34 GHz using a wafer level integration technology. One antenna is a differentially driven patch-antenna using BCB as a dielectric layer and the other a full-wave loop-antenna using BCB as a membrane. The integration technology for both antennas differs. Measurement and simulation results will be presented and discussed.
