Abstract. The nanostructure formation of a globular protein during protein adsorption from aqueous dispersions on different substrates is investigated. AFM images revealed the nanostructure of protein adsorbed layers. The AFM average size of protein nanoparticles is between 70 and 80 nm in substantial agreement with the observed diameter in TEM micrographs.
